The Top 5 Attractions at Doe Bay Fest 2018 (Aug 1-6)

It’s amazing, but some people in and around the Seattle-area still don’t know about Doe Bay Fest. To those who’ve attended, it’s one of the most epic and beautiful music festivals of the year – while still being curated, small and at least a little mysterious. The Doe Bay Resort, where the annual summer festival takes place, offers delicious locally grown meals, massages, yoga and boating. But which attractions are best? Let’s dive in!

The Music: Of course! Beginning on Thursday, some of the area’s most captivating bands will take the Doe Bay stages, which are peppered around the scenic resort. Hear thumping rock from The Black Tones, hypnotic production from Parisalexa, energetic funk from The Dip and spacy beats from Vox Mod, among many others.

Kids Attend Free: You get a discount on your tickets if you bring your kids. Really. Doe Bay loves the little critters running around, enjoying the outdoors that much! Use the KIDSRULE discount code and receive $5 off per adult ticket.

Camping (Or Cabin Stays): Doe Bay encourages you to bring your tent and camp on their grounds. Or, if you like things a bit more city-like, cabins are available to rent. But either way, you’re going to be away from home, sleeping amidst the freshest air around.

Beautiful Hikes: There might not be a better view in all of Washington than looking out from a path along the pine trees into the expansive beautiful blue water. It’s like an instant moment of meditation. And, during the festival, the music can often be heard ringing out into the woods.

The Food: Don’t sleep on the Doe Bay Café and garden. The restaurant, which also overlooks the beautiful bay, features products from local Orcas Island “farms, foragers and fisherman.” From smoked oysters to eggs benedict to whatever else the chefs can dream up from the right-there-sourced ingredients, you’ll feel full and fantastic.
